“Goddamn, Eve!” McKay barked, “your pussy that good it made that nigga tell you all that?”

Eve laughed, feeling good. “Told you my coochie was the bomb.”

“Well keep it away from me because I like my secrets well kept. I need for all my skeletons to stay in the damn closet where they belong.”

“You had your chance and blew it.”

“And that was probably the luckiest day of my life,” McKay laughed. “Damn, that nigga spilled his guts.” McKay shook his head in disbelief. “Now, run that pass me again.”

Pleased that she had come through, Eve repeated the info with a satisfied air of contentment, not the least bit amazed at how easily she pulled Supreme off his square. She giggled, glad that McKay was so patient since it afforded her the chance to recount what she called the next episode in the saga of The Academy.

The information was well organized, adorned with tidbits of secrecy that would either get them killed or promoted, dependent upon how enthusiastic Ivan would be in knowing that his beloved organization had a weak link. Eve had certainly picked up a lot, and given the complexity of what she had been told, she was sure she could launch a good deal for herself. In her mind, she was absolutely convinced she would be comfortable with betraying Supreme, but deep down she knew she should help him in destroying The Academy. Then, beyond this, she also knew that the killings would start and her instincts told her that she could be among the casualties.

Suddenly she wished she had never discussed this with Supreme. Moreover, she began to despise herself for not suppressing this bitter data, but she hadn’t and now McKay knew all about how The Academy, under the guise of GirlSmart, was going to be used not only as a front for child pornography, money laundering, but also the eventual kidnapping of young, black girls to be smuggled out of the country into Europe.

“Congratulations,” McKay said excitedly once Eve had completed her story for the second time. “We have just hit the jackpot.”

Or maybe the end of the road, Eve thought. Nevertheless, she smiled openly.
